Marshalls Fashion School Receives Generous Donation from Diaspora Expert Ms. Bernice Adu

Marshalls Fashion School received a GHS10,000 contribution from Ms. Bernice Abena Adu, a French-Ghanaian luxury and fashion marketing specialist based in Paris, following her knowledge-exchange mission with the school.

The support was used to acquire industrial fashion equipment, including a butterfly embroidery industrial sewing machine and two industrial round-knife cutting machines. The equipment strengthens the practical learning environment and supports production-oriented training.

Ms. Adu’s engagement formed part of the EU-Germany-Ghana Joint Action on Jobs, Migration and Development and the Roots to Ghana initiative, which connects Ghanaian diaspora expertise with local institutions.

During her time at Marshalls, she also contributed through industry-focused training, mentoring and masterclasses in areas such as luxury retail, brand strategy, customer experience and fashion technology. The university presented the partnership as an example of global expertise creating local educational impact.
