  • PREPARATION FOR LIFE, AFRICA YOUTH SUMMIT INVITES MARSHALLS

The office of the President of the Marshalls Association of Students’ Affairs [MASA], has received invitations to be represented at two high profile summits scheduled for the first quarter of this year. Consequently, Marshalls will send delegates to attend the African Youth Summit 2016 and Preparation for Life seminars. Both conferences are renowned for several years of empowering and equipping young leaders to make significant impact globally.

Since becoming the first academic institution in Ghana to trade on the Stock Exchange, Marshalls’ stock continues to rise. The institution made major news in the past year both in academia and sports. In 2015, a six-storey state-of-the-art multi-purpose edifice was commissioned at Marshalls. The institution also adopted the UNESCO standards of Teaching and Learning, and won second place when it debuted at the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges [UPAC] Basketball competition among other achievements.

Several individuals of the College have also chalked significant successes both in Academia and Sports over the years. Perhaps, these foregoing points explain the interest of acclaimed agencies of youth empowerment workshops to be associated with Marshalls.

Preparation for Life is an interactive seminar and talk show, organized by an agency of the same name, dedicated to inspiring brilliant student leaders to pursue advanced education and skills. The brand is almost exclusively noted for recruiting outstanding students from across the globe into top Universities in the United Kingdom, USA, Canada and beyond. The conference features student delegates from several nationalities, including Canada, USA, Holland and the Ukraine.

The conference speaks to individuals across several backgrounds and labels on the benefits of acquiring superior professional skills through higher education and securing academic opportunities. The event aims at boosting student confidence and making them aware of the standards of the global academic competition. Ms Joyce Tetteh, secretary of MASA, disclosed that her office had taken receipt of the invitation and appropriately responded to confirm Marshalls’ participation in the event.

Accra Youth Summit is one of Africa’s exceptional Youth Empowerment summits. The 2016 edition of the summit is on the theme Creating Businesses and Multiple Streams of Income. Speakers at the summit are successful young entrepreneurs, and the event seeks to inspire and challenge young professionals and student leaders to achieve excellence in their areas of specialty. The Accra Youth Summit celebrates the accomplishments of young achievers and encourages the trading of creative and professional ideas.

MASA’s confirmation of participation in both conferences reaffirms Marshalls’ prime objective of producing devout, well-rounded and well-grounded persons who are equipped to respond to the current and prospective needs of humanity. Marshalls is committed to investing in the next generation of leaders and resource persons. The institution is steadfast in the quest to fortify its students with the spirit of innovation and excellence to overcome all social challenges.
