SUCCESSFUL ORIENTATION KICKS OFF OUR NEW MASTER’S PROGRAMMES
Marshalls University College proudly hosted the inaugural orientation for our Master’s programmes in Strategic Leadership and Governance and Educational Leadership and Governance today in the Amenumey Building. This pivotal event marked the beginning of an exciting academic journey for our new students and staff.
ORIENTATION HIGHLIGHTS
The orientation, held from 9:00 AM to 12:35 PM, welcomed a diverse group of 36 students and 7 staff members. Our attendees, representing a broad spectrum of professions including politicians, nurses, police officers, police nurses, administrators, pastors, and academic officers, engaged in a comprehensive introduction to our Master’s programmes.
AGENDA OVERVIEW
- Opening Prayer by Rev. Emmanuel Asare Obeng commenced the event at 9:00 AM.
- Welcome and Self-Introductions provided a chance for participants to get acquainted.
- Address by the Registrar highlighted the importance of the orientation and the university’s commitment to academic excellence.
- Dean of Academic Affairs’ Overview of the day’s agenda and objectives, followed by an introduction of faculty and administrative staff, set the stage for a successful orientation.
- President’s Address provided insights into the university’s vision and the significance of the new programmes.
- Snack Breaks offered opportunities for informal networking and discussions.
- Programme Overview by the Dean included details on curriculum highlights, learning outcomes, and career opportunities.
- Academic Services Overview ensured that students are well-informed about the resources available to them.
- Wrap-Up and Q&A Session allowed participants to clarify any doubts and engage directly with faculty and staff.
- Closing Remarks by the President concluded the formal part of the orientation, followed by a closing prayer by Rev. Emmanuel Asare Obeng.
Immediately after the orientation, the Dean of Students, Mr. Anderson and the Dean of Academic Affairs, Prof. Kofi Boakye vetted and led the students who volunteered their services to be elected to serve as Class Representatives and Assistants. Rev. Emmanuel Obeng prayed with them for a successful tenure.
