  • MICROSOFT, KAJAANI UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES (KAMK) AND MARSHALLS UNIVERSITY COLLEGE: REVOLUTIONISING CAREERS THROUGH THE “SKILLS FOR JOBS” PROGRAMMES

In an age where technological skills shape careers, Microsoft, Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KAMK) in Finland, and Marshalls University College have united to launch an industry-leading Skills for Jobs programme. This dynamic initiative is designed to open doors to global employment by equipping students with Microsoft-certified skills in high-demand fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, and the Power Platform.

Through this transformative partnership, students gain access to Microsoft’s advanced skills curriculum, recognised globally by employers, and KAMK’s forward-thinking academic frameworks. Led by Mr. Sayed Jawed, KAMK board member, the programme offers students a fast track to career readiness. With microdegrees that blend academic rigour with practical expertise, students are well-prepared to secure high-paying remote roles with over 32,000 companies across Europe, the Americas, and beyond.

OPENING NEW DOORS FOR TO ALL STUDENTS

On 5 November 2024, a milestone meeting at Marshalls University College brought together representatives from Microsoft, KAMK, and Marshalls’ President, Dr. Tetteh Nettey, along with executive members of both institutions. This collaboration represents Marshalls’ ongoing commitment to providing cutting-edge educational opportunities, equipping students to thrive in competitive, global industries. By offering a pathway from learning to lucrative employment, the partnership aims to cultivate highly skilled professionals ready to meet the demands of today’s employers.

WHY CHOOSE THE MICROSOFT SKILLS FOR JOBS PROGRAMMES?

The Microsoft Skills for Jobs programme, available through KAMK and now at Marshalls University College, offers students unique access to three specialist certification tracks. This short course, lasting just 2 to 3 months, enables students to gain job-ready skills recognised by global companies. Each programme includes:

  1. Artificial Intelligence (AI) – Comprising seven certificates, this pathway empowers students with in-depth knowledge of AI applications, from data analytics to advanced machine learning, preparing them for exciting roles in the AI industry.
  2. Cybersecurity – Featuring six certificates, the cybersecurity programme equips students with essential skills to protect digital assets and combat online threats—crucial abilities in our increasingly digital society.
  3. Power Platform – With four certificates in Microsoft’s Power Platform, students gain proficiency in automation, app development, and data visualisation—skills that allow them to make impactful contributions in any business environment.

Upon completion, students possess not only technical expertise but also a Microsoft-KAMK certification, highly valued by employers and backed by a robust global brand.

UNPARALLELED AFFORDABILITY FOR GLOBAL CERTIFICATION

Thanks to generous and heavy subsidies from the European Union (EU) and our robust partnerships, the entire suite of certificates in each programme is offered at an unmatched price of just €330. Marshalls is committed to making quality education accessible to all students, helping them gain cutting-edge skills and enhance their career potential affordably.

EXCLUSIVE REMOTE JOB OPPORTUNITIES

In today’s digital world, skilled professionals who can work remotely are in high demand. Graduates of the Skills for Jobs programme gain exclusive access to over 32,000 potential employers in Europe, America, and beyond, connecting them with a vast network of global job opportunities. This programme not only offers world-class skills but also serves as a direct bridge between education and employment, linking Marshalls students to in-demand roles with companies actively seeking Microsoft-certified talent.
