Dr. Michael Marttinson Boakye is a distinguished academic, leadership scholar, and governance expert with over 17 years of experience in higher education, research, and institutional leadership. He currently serves as Associate Professor and Dean for Academic Affairs at Marshalls University College in Accra, Ghana.

He is also the Founding Dean of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies and Executive Secretary of the Marshalls Doctoral Faculty, where he plays a pivotal role in postgraduate education and academic development.

Dr. Boakye holds a PhD in Development Studies, a Professional Doctorate in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice, and a Doctor of Theology, reflecting his interdisciplinary expertise. He has taught and served in academic and administrative roles across Ghana and the Benin Republic, with interests spanning strategic leadership, governance, entrepreneurship, risk management, and educational policy.

He has authored or co-authored over 15 academic books and numerous peer-reviewed articles, contributing significantly to scholarly discourse. He serves on boards of educational institutions and cooperative credit unions, and contributes to national education policy through technical working groups of Ghana’s Ministry of Education.

A dedicated mentor, Dr. Boakye has guided numerous graduate and doctoral students, many of whom now hold influential positions in academia, government, and industry.

He is deeply committed to ethical leadership and youth empowerment, using his platform to advocate for inclusive development and educational equity. His work reflects a strong personal ethos rooted in integrity, service, and transformational leadership.

Dr. Boakye has played a leading role in fostering academic partnerships across Africa and beyond, facilitating joint research initiatives and cross-border academic innovation.
