Lawrencia Abena Wurah is a dynamic professional banker with extensive experience in both commercial and development banking.

She currently serves as the Head of Strategic Sector Development at Development Bank Ghana (DBG), where she leads strategic initiatives to drive growth across key sectors such as ICT, agribusiness, and manufacturing.

In this capacity, she spearheads partnerships, financing frameworks, and capacity-building programmes that enhance national competitiveness and promote sustainable economic transformation.

Prior to joining DBG, Dr. Wurah worked with Société Générale Ghana as a Relationship Manager, where she managed retail portfolios and provided strategic financial solutions that enabled business growth.

Her Professional Doctorate qualification pursued at Marshalls University College and awarded by OTHM, United Kingdom, aligns closely with her leadership role at DBG, bridging academic insight with practical financial innovation.

Her research focus and professional contributions continue to shape pathways for inclusive development and institutional excellence in Ghana's financial ecosystem.
