Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Marketing at Marshalls University is built to develop creative, analytical, and ethical marketers who thrive in Ghana’s dynamic business environment. You’ll learn how to understand consumers, craft brands, run campaigns, use digital tools, and make evidence-based decisions.The programme balances theory, case studies, digital innovation, and hands-on learning so that graduates are ready to hit the ground running in private sector, NGOs, or consulting, or start entrepreneurial ventures.

Duration & Credit Requirements

Duration: 4 years (8 semesters) for full-time students

Credit Hours: Approximately 120-130 credits (core marketing, business foundation, general education, electives, practicum)

Entry Requirements:

WASSCE/SSSCE with credit passes in English, Mathematics, and other relevant electives (e.g. Economics, Business Studies, Social Studies)

Mature entrance or diploma/HND holders may be considered for advanced placement

Learning Outcomes

Apply core marketing theories and tools to design, execute, and assess marketing plans.

Analyze consumer behaviour and market trends to make data-driven marketing decisions.

Use digital and social media platforms effectively in marketing strategies.

Manage brand identity, reputation, and integrated communication.

Design, implement, and assess campaigns across different channels (online/offline).

Understand the ethical, legal, and societal implications of marketing in Ghana and globally

Work effectively in teams, communicate clearly, and show leadership in marketing roles.

Assessment & Practical Exposure

Mixture of quizzes, assignments, mid-semester and final exams

Projects, case studies, presentations

Simulation of marketing campaigns (online/offline)

Guest lectures / workshops from industry professionals

Industrial attachment / internship in Level 300 or 400
